This year my friend Amber and I carved pumpkins the day before Halloween. It had been many years since I last helped carve a pumpkin, so I was surprised at how easy these tiny carving tools made it to carve pumpkins. I think the last time I used actual knives or something.. way too hard!
I decided to make Captain America for my pumpkin, and Amber made Mickey Mouse. Awesome job! My costume this year was Peggy Carter - who is the love interest of Captain America, which my boyfriend dressed as. His costume looked way cool, and mine — well no one actually knew who I was haha. I guess we’ll have to wait until next year when the movie comes out!
Went on a weekend trip with Tim to Santa Cruz and visited gorgeous Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. We took some pictures on our 3 hour hike. I use Adobe Lightroom to edit my photos. I also used some awesome free presets that I used to edit with from presetsheaven.com.
I found Canvas on Demand through Groupon. The quality is awesome and ordering was quick and easy. As an anniversary present for my parents, I used a photo my dad took when he and my mom visited China. Made some minor adjustments with Photoshop and printed with Cnavas on Demand’s 16″ x 20″ thick wrap around canvas.
I also made one for my friend Karen’s Birthday. Since I couldn’t decide on one photo to put on the canvas, I decided to do a collage of photos of the year. Instead of wrap around sides, I chose white for the sides. Same awesome quality! Can’t wait until she gets this!
I turned my friends into Gaians!
At Gaia, I work as an intern designer making content for Gaia’s website. I’m also working with marketing on Gaia’s Facebook Fan Page Ad Campaign. So far it’s a blast, and the people I work with are awesome. =)
Here’s a few things I’ve worked on:
Cash Shop Update Announcement
Today I got a new camera app for my iphone.. It’s called Camera + by taptaptap.
So much fun to use! i like the zoom and stabilization functions. And the editing options helps for lack of flash in my 3G.
